We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various clinical procedures. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting physician in delivering high-quality care to patients.
Duties:
Assist healthcare provider with patient examinations and procedures.
Perform vital signs checks, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and performing EKG's
Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and documenting relevant information.
Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
Conduct basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
Maintain accurate patient records, including coding and documentation of medical history.
Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the practice.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
Phlebotomy skills are a must (must be able to draw blood and have knowledge of which lab tubes are necessary depending on labs requested)
Experience in urgent care settings is highly desirable.
Proficiency in coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
Ability to perform patient care tasks with compassion and professionalism.
Capability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills
