A normal day includes:
Checking in at the Glen Burnie office
Driving to court in multiple jurisdictions in the state of Maryland
Taking & returning client calls, providing case status updates
Assisting the production staff
Providing legal advice through consultation calls
Conducting legal research using various resources and legal software programs
Draft legal pleadings, motions, pleadings and briefs
Plea negotiations
Present legal arguments in court
Continue education of state & federal law as it affects our clients
Present an organized client case file with all appropriate information related to a specific case
MUST HAVES:
Active Maryland law license
a working car that can be used daily
ability to work in office and travel to court
No fear of trying cases in front of a jury
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleague
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of attorneys and support staff
