TOWER LEGAL SOLUTIONS is seeking full time temporary Litigation Paralegals to work ONSITE in Baltimore and Greenbelt, MD. These roles provide a variety of legal assistance and technical work requiring a specialized knowledge of processes, procedures, and practices to support legal activities pertaining to the activities of federal government agency.
This is a contract position and the anticipated start date is April 1, 2025, with an initial duration of 2 months. There is a distinct possibility that this assignment may be extended for up to 1-2 years after the initial 2-month period is completed successfully.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide litigative case management and organize cases for court presentation by preparing and organizing exhibits and annotate deficiencies in case materials
Serve as contact person for assigned cases and provide information and assistance concerning status or relevant procedural issues
Compile, organize, and index various discovery and evidence exhibits and witness testimony for trial, working closely with assigned attorneys
Produce and provide appropriate legal documents, information, exhibits, or witnesses at the appropriate time during court proceedings
Maintain accounting systems for materials to be used as exhibits in grand jury proceedings and trials
Using established databases, perform data searches, report design, and other data retrieval assignments
Open, maintain, and closes case files
Track receipt of cases, upcoming deadlines, and other case information, keep attorneys and appropriate staff members informed of the status of cases
Monitor the progress of pending cases and initiate action to ensure that established deadlines are met
Prepare a variety of legal documents, correspondence, and other related material from templates and submits for attorney review and approval prior to filing/issuance
Maintain attorney and court calendars, schedule court reporters, witnesses, and conferences as required
Answer outside inquiries not requiring legal interpretations and/or refers to appropriate office members, exercising judgment and discretion in determining information provided
Requirements:
3-5 years relevant experience as a paralegal
Paralegal degree or certificate from an accredited institution
Availability to work at least 3 but potentially 5 days/week ONSITE in either Baltimore or Greenbelt, MD
Ability to pass a government background investigation at the Public Trust Clearance level
