You have experience painting (especially with acrylics) and can guide others step-by-step while keeping the energy upbeat and engaging. You’re professional, reliable, and passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences.
The Role: Art Instructor & Experience Host
As an Art Instructor at Neon Paint Place, you are the heart of our experience. You’ll lead groups through neon sip & paint classes, host splatter and spin sessions, create a fun and welcoming atmosphere, and ensure each guest leaves with a glowing masterpiece and an unforgettable memory.
You may lead a class on stage, assist with private parties, or support our team during busy hours — but your main mission remains the same: create a fun, safe, and exciting experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities: Artistic Instruction & Hosting
Lead neon sip & paint sessions with step-by-step instruction in a fun, engaging style.
Paint class samples in advance following Neon Paint Place concepts and designs.
Break down paintings into simple, approachable steps for beginners.
Experience Facilitation
Host splatter paint, spin paint, and glow-in-the-dark sessions.
Hype up the room, keep guests energized, and maintain a positive atmosphere.
Guide groups through safety procedures (especially for splatter paint).
Guest Interaction
Warmly greet guests, assist with check-in, and help organize group seating.
Encourage guests throughout the session and support anyone who needs extra guidance.
Take photos and short videos for guests and for social media content.
Session Setup & Organization
Prepare canvases, paints, aprons, protective gear, and UV room setups before each event.
Review attendee lists, prepare palettes, and ensure each space is ready before the group arrives.
Cleanup & Reset
Assist with post-session cleanup, restocking supplies, and resetting the studio for the next group.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Shift Requirements
Full-time: approximately 40-45 hours per week
Must be available evenings and weekends (peak hours)
Some daytime shifts available for youth groups, camps, and corporate events
Required Skills & Abilities
Energetic, friendly, and confident personality
Strong ability to teach or guide groups
Artistic skill, especially in acrylics
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working in a fun, high-energy environment with music and large groups
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt during busy sessions
Reliable transportation
Experience & Education
Must be 18 years or older
At least 1–2 years of painting experience (acrylic preferred)
Experience teaching, hosting, performing, or leading groups is a plus
Prior customer service experience preferred
Photography or social media experience is a bonus but not required
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting up to 40 lbs
Mobility to move quickly and safely throughout the studio
Comfort working under UV/blacklight conditions and around splatter paint
