PROPERTY PROTECTIVE SERVICES is
seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in law enforcement or military service, demonstrating exceptional skills in conflict management, surveillance, and loss prevention. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
Duties
Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Monitor CCTV systems and respond promptly to any incidents or alarms.
Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct thorough inspections of premises, including access points and vulnerable areas.
Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or emergencies.
Document all incidents accurately and prepare reports for management review.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Experience
Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or a security-related field is preferred.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems (CCTV).
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures related to armed security operations.
A valid Maryland Security Guard Card and a Maryland Conceal to Carry Card as required by state regulations.
