Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Carpenter/Container Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Build custom wooden shipping containers and crates according to specifications and work orders
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Operate tools such as nail guns, hammers, saws, and other woodworking equipment
- Measure and cut materials precisely using measuring tapes and other tools
- Ensure all finished products meet quality and safety standards
- Operate machinery involved in the production process as required
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Experience using power tools, especially nail guns and hammers
- Strong measuring and basic math skills
- Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience operating machinery is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle materials as needed
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
Pay Rate/Schedule:
$18.50 hourly.
Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:30pm)
Overtime when needed
