Electrical Technician, Residential Energy Retrofit Installations

We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician to support our growing team providing Energy Retrofit Installation services. You will play an important role in helping homeowners improve their energy efficiency and reduce their utility expenses, while supporting important environmental concerns.
We need your expertise in Residential service wiring. Typical tasks include installing and/or upgrading outlets, switches, light fixtures, exhaust fans, etc. Other helpful experience includes reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics, and installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical panels, circuit breakers, and other electrical distribution equipment.
Additional job duties, in support of our overall home efficiency services, include air sealing, insulation, HVAC repairs, roof repairs, duct repairs and ventilation of bath fans and dryers. After training, this position may also coordinate & oversee subcontractors as required per project needs.
Minimum Requirements:
4+ years working experience with Electrical/Residential wiring.
High School diploma or GED.
A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a good driving record.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
To thoroughly view an entire residence, must be able to climb ladders and crawl through attics, and carry and set-up equipment weighing approximately 40 lbs.
Ability to operate simple hand tools.
Preferred Skills & Capabilities:
2+ years carpentry, drywall and/or roofing experience for minor carpentry and drywall repairs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Customer service focused.
Self – starter; well organized with the ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
BPI and OSHA certifications, or the ability to obtain these certifications (Efficient Home will pay for candidates to go to training and to obtain certifications).
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
