We are currently seeking experienced Manufacturing Fabricators/Welders with a strong work ethic to add to our team for our growing company in the Baltimore area. Essential Responsibilities:
Joins, repairs, and performs light fabrication of metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding/fitting/fabrication tools.
Assembles and installs mostly pre-fabricated structural metal, electrical, hydraulic and rotary products.
Works according to job order, verbal instruction, specifications and drawings to determine appropriate welding/fitting/assembling process as needed.
Operates forklift & crane safely for moving larger pieces.
Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment.
Expectations / Qualifications:
At least 5 years of Fabrication/Mig welding experience required.
High School diploma or GED.
Good general math skills and ability to read tape measure.
Ability to read engineering drawings and weld symbols required.
Ability to follow instructions and work as a team or independently.
Dependable with strong attention to detail.
Mechanical experience, mechanical assembly experience, understanding of schematic /engineering drawings, fabrication and welding, and basic use of hand & power tools.
Must be able to pass custom weld test.
Welding certifications a plus.
Training or leadership experience a plus.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, recognizing various sounds and temperatures.
Must be capable of physical demands of the position including walking, standing, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving (up to 50 pounds).
Steel-toed safety shoes are required.
Must have a driver's license.
Must be willing to work overtime.
Must be able to pass Drug screening test.
Starting pay will be $26 - $31 per hour, depending on experience, ability to demonstrate skills, and training needed.
