The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting with maintaining the maintenance operations of the Association to the highest standards, including performing service functions for the building and residents. Responsibilities:
Assist with the overall maintenance of the property, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.
Inspect the site daily to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
Ensure work orders are completed timely and thoroughly.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices (OSHA) on site.
Assist with conducting preventative maintenance work and follow-ups on maintenance and repair work.
Assist with creating a preventative maintenance program for all building systems.
Assist in the performance of simple plumbing repairs, replacing faucets or washers; repairing toilet flushing devices; clearing clogged drains, and tightening leaking pipe joints.
Assist in the performance of preventative maintenance on air conditioning units and other facility equipment.
Learns the location of all riser shut-off valves.
Maintains all pavements, including sidewalks, curbs, driveways, and parking areas, including power washing, snow, and ice control.
Provide property coverage and respond to emergency calls.
Additional duties as assigned.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
Highly effective interpersonal skills, strong customer service, and communication
High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
HVAC or other training or certification required
Minimum 3 - 5years experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance in a condominium
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry trades including painting.
Must be able to operate tools and equipment related to facility maintenance including a scissor lift.
Must be able to work 8-hour days
Must be able to rotate on-call schedule
