The Mid-Level Engineer/Analyst role will be located in Beltsville, MD

Position Description:

  • Provide guidance to systems owners for compliance, standards, and policies.
  • Provide emerging technology analysis and trend reporting to CTS designated recipients.
  • Provide Cloud, wireless, and mobile security expertise, device assessment, vulnerability analysis, and risk mitigation services.
  • Research and formulate open source software innovations integration in support of network modernization efforts using industry best practices for cost efficiency solutions.
  • Participate in intra-agency working groups.
  • Provide technical expertise and customer perspective on policy changes to policy working groups.
  • Coordinate Enterprise-wide Common Control Documentation and provide technical expertise as needed to partners on proper implementation of NIST Common Controls.
  • Provide technical responses and recommendations to ASKCTS Support Requests.


Basic Qualifications

- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience required. An additional 6 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain SCI.
  • Ability to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Has background of skills to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Proficient with performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

- Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Possess CASP+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GSEC, Security+ CE, or similar certification.
