Descriptioneidos’ High Fidelity Simulation program is responsible for architecting and implementing large-scale System of Systems solutions in support of world class simulation, training, and analysis products for the US Navy. You will get to work with state-of-the art technology developing the most sophisticated and “game changing” trainers the US Navy deploys. You will be part of a high powered team, performing vital work that has a major impact within the US Navy. You will be constantly learning new skills throughout your co-op employment and your work will be included in trainer deliveries and used by US Navy Fleet personnel. The hallmark of Leidos is empowered employees doing meaningful work.Leidos is seeking energetic, motivated, self-starters for these technically sophisticated and challenging cybersecurity engineering positions, assisting in the development of a variety of naval training and simulation systems such as CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPJKsFhBp30)Cybersecurity Engineering Co-ops may develop complex, defensive cybersecurity solutions for trainer systems and their development environments, and assess and upgrade Linux servers and workstations. All work is directly applicable to actual military training systems. Co-op students will gain invaluable, real-world experience on state of the art computer based systems. This co-op will start January 2025.Basic Qualifications: MUST be Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related technical degree, have at least a 3.2 GPA, and be able to demonstrate Linux and cybersecurity related skills. MUST be available to work at least 7 months full time as a co-op. U.S. Citizenship required and must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent on receiving an interim Secret security clearance. Candidates will be working in a professional environment and contributing to systems that will be used throughout the U.S. Navy.
