Job Title: Sterile Processing TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a meticulous Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a sterile environment to support patient safety and effective healthcare delivery.Responsibilities

Perform thorough decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Assemble and package surgical instrument trays and kits for use in surgical procedures.

Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors.

Conduct regular inspections of instruments for damage and functionality.

Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load content and quality indicators.

Monitor inventory levels and replenish sterilization supplies as needed.

Adhere to established protocols for infection control and safety guidelines.

Collaborate with surgical teams to respond to supply requests and ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments.

Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST or CSPDT) preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in a sterile processing or healthcare environment is a plus.

Biological monitoring.

Knowledge of surgical equipment operational uses.

Work EnvironmentThe role requires the ability to lift and move heavy trays and equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
