Job Description:
The Medical Assistant will work within a Primary Care Clinic with one of DC's largest healthcare systems.
Assist with the back office in the department - handling prior authorizations, preparing charts, updating prescription refills, and using the EMR.
Will also be responsible for rooming and triaging patients, in addition to taking patients' vital signs.
The MA will be getting patients through the first 30% of their visit.
This is a high volume, fast paced clinic. The MA will see anywhere from 20-30 patients per day.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
Candidates must have an MA diploma or updated Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)
BLS Certification
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of medical experience, preferably in Primary Care
Experience with 30+ patients per day.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
