Industrial Maintenance Technician – Full Time
Centreville, MD | Full-Time, 40+ hours/week + Overtime Available
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Tidewater Direct is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Centreville, MD facility. This hands-on role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with industrial equipment, and the ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
o Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on:
o Printing presses
o Bindery equipment
o Industrial compressors
o Forklifts, clamp trucks
o Air-trim systems and other machinery
o Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
o Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
o Provide support for basic plumbing and general facilities maintenance
o Maintain accurate records and communicate via email and basic computer software (Excel, etc.)
Required Experience and Skills:
o Strong knowledge of:
o Gears, gearboxes, drive shafts, bearings
o Pumps (air and submersible)
o Brake assemblies and hoists
o Electric motors and compressor systems
o Industrial wiring (basic to advanced), PLCs, and control boards
o Ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical schematics
o Preventative maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques
o Basic computer literacy (email, Excel, web searching)
o Reliable transportation and willingness to respond to after-hours service needs
Schedule and Benefits:
