Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for project in Wallops Island, VA.
PAY: $23 - $26 per hour (Based on Experience)
HOURS: 40 Hours per week
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday , 7am-3:30pm
DURATION: 6+ months
START DATE: ASAP
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR:
Conduct inspections of construction work, materials, and installations to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
Perform quality control checks throughout the construction process, including foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing stages.
Identify and document construction defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and work with project teams to implement corrective actions.
Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and submittals to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance and workmanship to ensure quality standards are met.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
Conduct pre-installation and pre-completion inspections to verify readiness and compliance with quality standards.
Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation of quality control activities.
Participate in project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to promote quality assurance and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR:
Proven experience as a Construction Quality Control Inspector or similar role in the construction industry.
Must be OSHA 30 Certified
Construction Quality Management for Contractors certified
3 Years experience
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, civil works, and building codes.
Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures in construction.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Excellent attention to detail and observational skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using construction quality control tools, equipment, and software.
Certification in quality control or related field (e.g., ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician, AWS Certified Welding Inspector) is a plus.
Physical fitness and ability to conduct site inspections and walk long distances.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to pass background check & drug test
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
