Maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux-based systems and applications

Monitoring system performance and implementing necessary updates and upgrades

More About the RoleYou’ll Bring These Qualifications
10+ years experience as a Linux administrator to include supporting RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6/7/8/9.
Experience hardening RHEL operating system in accordance with DoD STIGs and Industry Guidance.
Demonstrated expertise in bash script programming and leveraging Linux command utilities to accomplish various tasks.
Demonstrated experience using command line utilities to troubleshoot, diagnose, and capture metrics and interpreting the data.
Demonstrated experience in filesystem setup and mounting of local and external sources.
Experience in bare metal, virtualized, and containerized RHEL implementations.
Maintains source repos with dnf and yum.
Patches the operating system including kernel updates.
Minimum of Security+ CE or CASP+ CE certification to meet 8570 baseline requirements.
Demonstrated experience using SELinux on RHEL OS.
Demonstrated expertise in network configuration and firewalls on RHEL OS.
Experience in backup methods for RHEL for bare metal and virtual machines/containers.
Expertise in systemd managed services including troubleshooting, unit file modification/creation, and creating services for custom processes.
Experience in building from source files and building custom rpm files from spec and source files.
Experience with IaaS using Puppet and Ansible.
Experience with Cloud IaaS templates using Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Pulumi.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
RHCSA and/or RHCE certifications
Experience with Kubernetes and/or Openshift. AWS ROSA knowledge a plus.
Container experience with Podman and/or Docker.
AWS Cloud experience with EC2 RHEL administration.
AWS Cloud experience mounting EBS, EFS, S3 (via AWS Mountpoint) storage types to RHEL EC2 images.
