Data Systems Analysts has an immediate opening for a Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization Analyst that can integrate tightly into a Government team where the individual staff members are all expert in their subject areas. This position requires a Cyber analyst who can support development and analysis of Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and Life Cycle Management documentation of systems and/or networks. Assist with the development and maintenance of all necessary A&A documents for achieving an Authority To Operate (ATO) on geographically dispersed hardware and software. Provide coordination, tracking, and management through all aspects of the initial and recurring A&A process for the PM. Maintain responsibility for continuous monitoring of Cybersecurity and privacy policies, programs, compliance artifacts, and standards in support of government security compliance, systems accreditation, and management.This work is expected to be accomplished from a Ft Meade, MD Government location with potential infrequent local travel.
Demonstrated knowledge as an IA/Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) concerning C&A/A&A activities and all associated IA policies and procedures
Experience with supporting Information Assurance (IA) or A&A efforts for DoD systems
Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience using the RMF to support the A&A process, including analyzing the development of supporting policies, procedures, and plans, designing and implementing security controls, testing and validating security controls, and analyzing and tracking corrective action plans
Experience with continuous monitoring and plans of action and milestones (POA&M) management
Experience with A&A on hardware and software operating in geographically dispersed locations
Experience with assessing systems deployed in Cloud Environments
Provide technical guidance in the development and revision of customer information security policies
Experience with leveraging tools, including ACAS, CMRS, and eMASS preferred
Experience with assessing organizational risks and recommending mitigation strategies
Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
DoD 8570.01 IAM Level III Certification, including Security+ CE
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related Cybersecurity discipline
5-7+ years of experience with certification and accreditation (C&A) or A&A
DoD 8570.01 IAM Level III Certification, including Security+ CE desired
