Define and manage our cloud security roadmap by identifying areas for improvement, mapping dependencies and investigating solutions.
Work together with other architects and engineers across the company to implement security solutions and to enhance relevant processes.
Ensure our security controls meet appropriate regulatory and business requirements and prioritize implementation as necessary.
Create presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring technical, process and financial impact of proposed controls and solutions is well understood.
Work on improving our visibility with cloud related activities and ensure information is actionable and backed by appropriate processes.
Keys to Success:
Ability to understand processes and to assess impact of process or technology changes to various levels of the organization.
Past experience in managing and improving cloud platform security and overall server, application and operating system security, especially within AWS.
Demonstrated history of being able to commit to longer-term roadmaps and enhancements with a bias for action.
Understanding of the underlaying technologies used by public cloud providers and ability to apply similar principles to on-premises environments.
Ability to translate cybersecurity risks into solutions and to explain complex solutions to IT and business leadership.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted.
Certifications not required, but encouraged: Cloud security-related certifications a plus.
Experience
7+ years of hands-on experience with large public cloud environments, including both IaaS and PaaS services and service management.
Experience with cloud identity management and multiple cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools and technologies.
Proficiency in programming and scripting, especially with various APIs provided by AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Understanding of risk management and familiarity with different cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements, and practical experience using the frameworks within the cloud security realm.

Ability to act both independently and as a part of a team.
