Electronic Home Environments (EHE) employs a number of Audio/Video related Staff Members. The role of the AV Technician is crucial in an effort to ensure a flawless install of equipment inside the clients home. The AV Technician may work alone or with other team members on a specific job. The AV Tech may have an assigned helper if need be and follows the directive of the Project Manager thru to job completion.
Qualifications:
AV Tech must be performance driven, outgoing individual, who is self-motivated, works well independently, as well as with others, possesses excellent communications skills, trouble shooting skills for IT based products, computer networks and consumer electronics.
Required:
Previous AV experience as an AV Technician (Audio Video - NOT visual)
Day to day requirements:
Pre-wire homes under construction for A/V and home automation projects.
Build A/V equipment racks with meticulous wiring approach demonstrating ability to follow detailed design plans.
Install TVs, music systems, speakers (floor, wall mounted and recessed), entry systems, and motorized shades.
Install and assist programmers with whole home automation systems including integrated systems for A/V, light, shade, and climate control systems.
Assist programmers with customized remote controls, home automation software, iPad/iPhone, Android tablets and control apps.
Calibrate and program home media/theater systems.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
ï§ Must have a High School Diploma
ï§ At least 4 years of work experience in AV industry field (i.e. electronics, audio visual, pulling wire, general home construction)
ï§ At least 2 years of experience with electronics (set-up, installing, handling, hanging TVs, etc.)
ï§ At least 1 years of experience with Crestron Electronics including configuration and troubleshooting experience via Crestron Toolbox
ï§ Formal Crestron CTI training a plus
