Dixon Pool Service is looking for Weekly Maintenance Technicians for the 2024 season. Dixon Pool Service has been servicing the Frederick, Howard, Montgomery counties and town of Hagerstown, for over 19 years. Experience is required for this position and pay will be based on experience. (If you do not have experience and would like to join our team or learn to become a Weekly Tech. Please apply for our service assistant position that we have available)
This is a seasonal position starting no later than April 4th and running through November . (Could carry into January for some candidates)
There are overtime opportunities available especially in the spring
Expectations:
. Clearly follow directions given by the Technician
· Show up on time Monday-Friday (Some Saturdays in the spring may be required)
. Candidate understands that we work in all weather, rain or shine. And will show up in proper attire based on that day’s weather. (Some shirts will be provided while you are employed at Dixon Pool Service)
· Consistent and dependable Attendance is a must
. Candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work. (There is no public transportation to our location)
. Candidate has tested knowledge of water chemistry and basic pool equipment operation.
. Valid driver’s license IS REQUIRED for this position
Job site expectations:
. Assist in opening and closing swimming pools and following instructions from the technician
· Assist in retrieving tools and supplies as directed by a technician
· Vac, scoop, brush and clean swimming pool surface and water
. Perform regular weekly service and maintenance visits
. Properly maintain and balance water chemistry
. Properly maintain swimming pool filtration equipment (IE. Backwash and clean filters. Clean pump baskets. And check system is working overall each week)
· Be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
· Be able to work in a fast pace, fast-moving work environment
-Be able to work long hours during the busy season of Spring, Summer, Fall
