Description of opportunity: Perform field inspections on residential properties in a territory covering Montgomery County, MD and surrounding areas, mostly to determine the occupancy status of these properties. MUST live within 10 miles of Montgomery County, MD. MUST own an iPhone (NOT an Android) with a data plan. MUST be computer/smart phone savvy, have reliable, economical transportation, separate GPS (not on phone). Only candidates who ALREADY OWN a computer with a scanner, and WHO ALREADY HAVE an iPhone with a data plan will be considered. MUST be able to follow detailed instructions and regulations, given verbally, or written, and move quickly to complete multiple inspections daily. The work cycle is slow the first two weeks of the month and busy the second two weeks of the month. All work must be performed during daylight hours. Should be self-motivated and able to consider assigned territory to constitute one's own business, and run it accordingly. Mortgage Field Inspectors are private contractors paid by the inspection. In this zone, an efficient inspector will make approximately $3000 - $3500 per month after the learning process is complete. That would be within two weeks to a month depending on the inspector's ability to follow directions. No experience necessary. But, those who are familiar with various home types, household appliances, and maintenance systems such as sump pumps and dehumidifiers will master the inspection process faster.
