We are a Courier/Delivery service seeking a part-time, reliable driver to transport a few boxes or less (12" square) from Rockville, MD to Allentown, PA once a week, probably on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Job Information:
- More-than-likely will run sometime Friday thru Sunday
- Pickup small box(es) in Rockville, MD
- Deliver straight to Allentown, PA
- 187 mile route, one-way
- 3 hour transit (barring traffic)
- $172 per run
- Can be done in car, preferably
- Use own vehicle, pay for own gas. Gas payments are worked into pay. No tolls on route (if new tolls appear, they will be covered by company).
- To give you an idea of profit, after gas, should come out to $20+ an hour on the route (roundtrip), just to transport a box or two. About 6.5 hours will be spent on the route, from picking up parcel - to dropping off - to driving home.
- Pay every 2 weeks, direct deposit
- Good for semi-retired/retired, stay-at-home mom, or contract courier looking to pick up more work.
- Must have good running car, no clunkers. Must also be able to pass an initial drug test, and then random drug tests (paid for by company). Will also need a backup vehicle, in case main vehicle isn't available.
Also, we have been told more routes will be coming up in this area. The driver on this route will get first dibs on new routes.
