The Lead HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. This individual will provide expert-level technical support, manage complex projects, and mentor junior HVAC technicians. This role requires advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, superior problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Essential FunctionsAssigning work tasks to technicians, scheduling maintenance visits, and coordinating with other trades or contractors. Planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs, overseeing repairs of HVAC equipment, and ensuring systems are operating efficiently.Identifying and resolving technical issues related to HVAC systems, often requiring a strong understanding of HVAC principles and troubleshooting techniques.Monitoring the quality of work performed by technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Providing on-the-job training and mentoring new technicians.Maintaining accurate records of work performed, preparing reports, and documenting any issues to include local, state, federal regulations and EPA guidelines.
