AECOM is actively seeking a full time Department Manager for our Cultural Resource Management (CRM) Group, which is part of the EPP East regional team. The group includes staff who are located throughout the eastern United States serving Federal, State and Local governments as well as private clients.The CRM Department Manager is expected to improve revenue growth, and ensure high utilization without sacrificing quality, safety or performance. The candidate should have an excellent work ethic, interpersonal skills, and a professional attitude.The CRM Department Manager will oversee 150 CRM professionals. The candidate must have experience in managing the full range of cultural resources studies that are required in obtaining federal and state permits, and for developing federal and state planning and environmental documents.  The candidate must also manage numerous open-end contracts involving general cultural resource services as well as manage numerous multi-million-dollar projects which includes public outreach deliverables, such as websites, high school lesson plans, a professional journal, and museum development. The candidate should meet the professional qualification standard as set forth by the United States Department of Interior’s Historic Preservation Guidelines.  The job responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:Provides leadership and direction through managers and professional staff and leads efforts to grow company technical expertise.Responsible for the financial performance of the department.Review of proposals for technical and financial content.Business plan development and financial tracking/management.Advise regional business managers on growth, staff recruitment and retention, and technical excellence strategies.Recruits and helps retain staff at all levels.Maintain technical role as project manager, lead verifier or technical lead as appropriate.Lead or support business development opportunities.Anticipate and solve both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse cultural resource activities.Drives execution of tactical business plans with direction from a region business line leader for growth and profitability of regional business line, implementation and execution of global business line strategy and programs. Drives regional business line business development activities, regional client management for business line and manages regional business line resources. Provides input into strategic/operating plan. Directs the work of associates performing different tasks under the same field. Applies in-depth knowledge of all aspects of field of expertise, along with interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
