The role involves developing and implementing automated and manual testing solutions for electronic assemblies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.location: Germantown, Marylandjob type: Contractsalary: $45 - 50 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Test development and ongoing continuous improvement for the test solutions of electronic assemblies.
Design, develop, and influence the various automated production systems required to implement the product test strategy.
Define and implement manual test processes when project conditions do not allow for automated test solutions.
Partner with R&D and Manufacturing Engineering to develop contract manufacturing ready and reliable test systems, jigs & fixturing.
Provide DFT direction to R&D from concept stage and throughout new product development.
Optimize calibration and test processes for coverage, capability, and test stand capacity.
Detailed project planning to ensure all test solutions and processes are developed, documented, debugged, deployed, and validated in time for new product pilot run.
Effective use of quality tools such as statistical process and measurement uncertainty to ensure test solutions are in control and stable.
Skills:
IDE programming experience in test automation using LabWindows CVI or NI TestStand.
Proficiency in programming languages, particularly ANSI C, and familiarity with Python and C.
SQL database programming experience for managing test records and data.
Knowledge of analog, digital, and RF circuits.
Understanding of statistical process control concepts and tools for analysis and reporting.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing automated functional test processes for electronic assemblies.
