We are looking for a candidate to work as part of our East Region Dams Practice located in our Germantown, Maryland or Conshohocken, Pennsylvania office as a Structural Dam Safety Engineer Intern. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.This position is expected to begin in May 2026.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Assist with design, analysis, inspection, and construction observation tasks for dam safety projects. Support engineers in performing structural stability and strength analyses for concrete dams, spillways, outlet works, and other hydraulic or site structures.Help prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications under the supervision of other engineers.Develop AutoCAD drawings and structural details for design deliverables.Participate in field visits and dam safety inspections, documenting site conditions and supporting construction oversight.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, and geotechnical disciplines.
