Junior RF Antenna Test Engineer - Linthicum Heights, MDWe are seeking an RF Test Engineer to join our team. The role involves programming software in C/C or MATLAB to automate test fixtures, developing test software for Nearfield and Compact Antenna Range, and creating software programs to automate tests. You will troubleshoot RF issues during tests of advanced antenna systems, support technicians with troubleshooting and training, analyze test data to identify early trends, and collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements. Additionally, you will support program meetings to develop root cause and corrective actions.Job Responsibilities:
Programming software in C/C or MATLAB to automate test fixtures
Test software development in a Nearfield and Compact Antenna Range
Create software programs being written in order to automate the test
Troubleshoot RF issues during test of advanced antenna systems
Support technicians with troubleshooting and training
Analyze test data and identify early trends
Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
Skills & Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
Active Secret Clearance is required for this role.
1+ years of professional experience or project based experience from school within software development with C/C or MATLAB.
Hands-on experience with RF Design or RF testing with Antenna's through coursework or projects preferred.
Hands-on experience testing in a lab with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers)
Work Environment:We currently have 4 first shift openings: 4 weekday 1st shift (M-F) openings that only require a Secret Clearance to start.3 of the 4 require SAP eligibility, but candidates can start with their Secret while obtaining the SAP. 1 of the 4 just requires an Active Secret. You will work in both indoor and outdoor Antenna Test Ranges at the BWI campus, collaborating with RF design engineers to create test equipment and automated test software. The work environment is mixed, involving both lab work and indoor/outdoor ranges.
