We want employees whose personal values align well with our culture of fairness, honesty, customer focus, and pragmatic approach (People).Summary of PositionWe are seeking an Office Assistant to join our Accounts Payable team within the Finance business unit. This position is responsible for managing confidential documentation and maintaining the headquarters office in North Bethesda. The time commitment for this position is estimated to be 7-10 hours per week.Key Responsibilities

Mail Management

Pickup from the mail room, opening and scanning or mailing to relevant SANS employees, shredding of mail that should not be forwarded.

Package Management

Open and put away items from incoming packages.

Make arrangements and ensure pickup of packages delivered to the headquarters office that should go to other SANS locations.

Waiting for package pickup.

Manage appointments and oversee shredding services.

Maintain office equipment and provide help and/or training to other employees to use equipment (i.e. mail machine, fax/copier/scanner, shredding company, shredder).

Keep track of and order supplies for the office and those who report into the headquarters office (sending to office or employees’ home address as necessary).

Keep common areas clean and stocked with supplies.

Other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Exceptional written communication skills.

Ability to solve problems as they arise.

Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with managing confidential documentation.

Base pay ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and years of experience.
