The Security Operations Center Operator enables the Security Operations Center (SOC) to achieve core objectives protecting Exelon critical infrastructure, assets and personnel through 24/7 monitoring of physical security intrusion detections systems, access controls, and security call center reporting. The Security Operations Center Operator will be handling calls from internal employees and contractors pertaining to onsite security incidents. Day to day responsibilities will include:
Monitor and remediate intrusion detection alarms.(40%)
Answer, prioritize, and respond to telephonic security incident reporting.(30%)
Manage and log site entry/exit system disarm events.(5%)
Write and submit security incident reports.(5%)
Submit service requests for corrective maintenance of security systems, perform service ticket validation.(5%)
Perform forensic investigative support of video and access control records.(5%)
Perform administrative ESOC tasks.(5%)
Perform and document system checks and video tours.(5%)
Perform activity specific actions as detailed in the ESOC Policies and Procedures Manual, adhere to compliance requirements and performan regulatory procedures
Make notifications and maintain shift activity logs.
Identify security system issues, create service requests for system repairs, and validate corrective maintenance
Dispatch law enforcement /first responders to security incidents, answer and prioritize incoming emergency and routine security event calls, log personnel into substations, log and manage status of site intrusion systems.
Required Skills & Experience
Associate degree, or high school diploma.
2+ years of Security System, IT Call Center experience.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple computers and programs at once.
Good phone etiquette.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to write grammatically correct and stylistically appropriate business communications.
Ability to work effectively under high stress situations, to rapidly assess and respond to life safety and security incidents.
Technical Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency on the following systems:
CCure 9000E, ExacqVision, Andover Continuum, Pelco Control Point, Compass, DMP, D3, JIRA, PassagePoint, Exelon Alert, Microsoft Office Suite, and any other systems used by ESOC at the time of application.
Core Business Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Exelon Business structure, ESOC Policies and Procedures, Exelon NERC CIP Policies and Procedures, Substation Operation, and CISS Policy and Procedures.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
