Data Engineer (Python, ETL) - Corporate Systems
Location: Remote but need to live within 50 miles of one of our client's 16 markets - Position is fully remote. Candidate can reside anywhere is the USA, but must be willing to travel to onsite presence with a purpose meetings in the DC metro area at least once a calendar year.

Job Description:

We are supporting a Director in technology in their pursuit of a Rock Star Data Engineer. Our client is looking for a candidate that has strong Python coding skills and has gained real expertise in running and building ETL jobs. Our client has a PeopleSoft application where they will need to migrate data initially and then get started on some Big Data work. This is brand new work and a brand new role so our client really wants to get someone strong in to lead this space.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics along with at least 4 years of real world experience as a Data or ETL Engineer.
• MUST HAVE strong Python coding skills
• Must have experience and expertise with running and building ETL jobs. Whether this is done on Prem or a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Oracle, Azure, etc.) does not matter
• Must have experience with SQL or NOSQL
• Relational database experience - Postgres would be nice to have but any relational database will work

Preferred:

• AWS Skills (s3, RDS, EC2, Lambda)
• REST / SOAP APIs understanding
• Linux Skills
• Data related Skills (Data Security , Data Integrity , Data relationships etc.)
• Knowledge on Alfresco(Nice to Have)
