The Information security Analyst will will support the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) located in Rockville, MD. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of IT services for specific activities within the NRC. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide secure enterprise-wide systems sustainment, management, enhancement, development and integration services for the lifecycle administration and deployment functions.Job Description:
The Information Security Analyst will monitor all computer networks for security issues and investigate any security breaches and other cybersecurity related incidents. The primary responsibilities for this ISA position are providing IT security-oriented guidance, advice and support to maintain ATO. Additionally, the ISA will have a comprehensive understanding of information security management, research security enhancements & make recommendations to management, and stay up-to-date on information technology trends & security standards.Required Skills and Experience:
Experience supporting Government security programs.
Experience in Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities.
Understanding of FISMA requirements and reporting.
Experience in using Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) in IT support delivery.
Experience with security testing.
Experience with vulnerability management.
Experience providing IT security-oriented analysis.
A Security+ certification and experience working in the NRC environment is desired.Required Education and Certifications:

You will serve as a Reliability and Risk Analyst in the Division of Fuel Management (DFM) with responsibility for the review of risk assessments of fuel cycle facilities, spent fuel storage and transportation package designs, and independent spent fuel storage facilities. The following types of tasks are performed: Providing technical advice on risk assessments of nuclear facilities that process special nuclear material, and/or on risk assessments for package certifications of transportation and storage of radioactive materials. Evaluating the design and functional capability of non-power reactor facilities, systems and/or devices to withstand accident conditions, with a focus on estimating the frequencies of accidents and their consequences.
