Responsibilities


  • Design and develop new features and/or maintain existing applications developed on C# and ASP.NET MVC.

  • Develop code and supporting documentation.

  • Analyze business needs, develop requirements, design, develop and test custom software solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and take multiple systems and cross-system integration into account when designing and developing solutions.

  • Provide maintenance for current software applications while developing new solutions.

  • Work in a team environment to develop, test, and deploy software changes.

  • Work with customers to understand and implement new requirements.

  • Provide operational support when necessary.

  • Work the product backlog of features and bugs.

  • Provide input on new designs and architecture as needed.

  • Develop a well-tested, high performance, scalable web application.


Job Requirements


  • Experience designing, developing and deploying web-based applications in C#, .NET MVC, .NET CORE, SQL Server, JavaScript, TFS.

  • BS/MS degree in MIS, CS, or related discipline is required.

  • Designing and developing new features and/or maintaining existing applications developed on ASP.NET MVC.

  • Experience with RDBMS databases, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is preferred.

  • Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) development experience, Agile/SCRUM experience, preferred.

  • Some experience with Object-Oriented Programming and working with N-Tier Architecture.

  • Some experience with software testing and design patterns.

  • Great customer service and interfacing with customers required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • iOS native mobile development experience with Swift or Objective C (desired- NOT Required); Candidate must be willing to learn it though as it is crucial to have someone in the role that can do iOS development once they are up to speed.

  • MS ASP.NET Certification is a plus.

  • DevOps skills and experience a plus.

  • Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Experience planning, developing, and coordinating the agency’s license fee billing policy and guidance for financial management improvements as required by the CFO’s ACT, FMFIA, GPRA, OMB Circulars, JFMIP requirements and NRC Management Directives and appropriate parts of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). In-depth knowledge of 10 CFR Parts 170, 171 and 15.31, and relevant Management Directives or similar Federal regulations. Extensive knowledge of computer systems and software sufficient to provide oversight of fee billing programs. Knowledge in the application of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and skill in identifying functions for automation. Extensive skill in presenting information, ideas and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, both orally and in writing. Extensive ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel. Education Additional Information The duty location of this position is Rockville, Maryland. In general, employees are expected to be in the office at a minimum of 4 days per pay period.
