Flexible schedule around core business hours Monday - Friday. Located in Rockville, MD, multiple days of telework per week is typical once established and with manager approval. After hours or weekend work may occasionally be required for pre-planned maintenance.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Leading multiple projects of various sizes and levels of complexity such as audio-visual build-outs and renovation efforts
Leading a portfolio of projects through all phases of construction, remodeling and reconfiguration of company facilities
Collaborating with clients to define and document IT project scope, priority, budgets and schedules and oversee implementation of projects.
Providing timely communication on project status, issues, risks and achievements; represent projects during internal and customer-facing reviews.
Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation using Microsoft Project, MS Teams, ServiceNow and other standard technical management tools.
Leading a matrixed project team from 3 - 20 people
Communicating with all levels of management, technical team members, and user community
Keeping up-to-date on industry trends and innovations and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent and eight years' experience or a MA/MS and six years' experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum of five years Project Management experience, including managing scope, risk, and schedule in an IT environment
Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project and/or Trello
Excellent leadership and negotiation skills to manage project
Ability to manage large or multiple projects with changing priorities
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to various audiences
Expertise with MS Office tools
Desired Qualifications:
PMP certification
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly switch between tasks
Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
Familiarity with Agile Project Management and methodologies
