job summary:

The VB.Net Developer will report to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, and will be responsible for analyzing, writing, and maintaining business applications for the enterprise environment across various technology platforms. This individual will collaborate closely with IT Team members and business functions to help ensure the solid development and implementations of solutions which will both support, and drive productivity gains within the business. This is a hybrid work environment requiring onsite work 2-3 days a week in the Silver Spring, MD office.

responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collection, analysis, and evaluation of business requirements and the development of technical solutions
• Troubleshooting development and production issues and implementing appropriate solutions
• Development and system support activities for the Business Application Environment (Microsoft Applications, Power BI, Database)
• Contribute and Adhere to Development Standards and Practices (DevOps, TFS)
• Participation in cross-functional projects
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Related Technical Field
• 7+ years overall experience in the IT industry Including
• Programming Languages: VB.NET, Java Script, VB Script, HTML, SQL
• Web Application Development Experience
• Business Intelligence and Database: Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS,SSRS
• Development Platforms: Visual Studio, DevOps, TFS
• Office 365, SharePoint 365
