Position:
Job Type: Part time (24 hours/week) plus every third Friday
Salary: $14-$17/hour
Job summary: Currently seeking a reliable, punctual, hard-working production worker to join our established operation in Jessup, MD. In this role, you will be a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. Must be able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and be able lift up to 55 lbs on a regular basis. Production Worker Duties and Responsibilities
Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy
Manufacture and package products from start to finish with consistency and precision
Perform production duties such as, mixing of raw materials to produce product, manual lifting, packaging, taping and preparing orders for shipment
Move product and inventory using a forklift, including loading and off-loading products on and off trucks
Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care
Report any machinery issues to management
Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
Follow all written and verbal instructions
Perform related duties as required by supervision
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization
Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift
Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
Able to or willing to learn the operation of large industrial machinery
Able to lift 55 lbs on a regular basis
Able to work 8 hour shifts standing
Reliable and punctual: Shift starts at 6:00am sharp
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
