The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) is seeking a full-time Membership and Events Assistant for its national headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to gain experience with a non-profit organization who is interested in building relationships, . The position reports to the Director of Membership and Outreach and will support membership, exhibit sales, sponsorship and event planning efforts for the Society, along with critical administrative responsibilities. AUGS is looking for someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, organized, professional and hard working.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Membership Marketing

• Manage the annual membership dues renewal process

• Oversee and manage the ongoing call for volunteers process

• Manage the membership spotlight campaign and MemberShoutout social media campaign

• Prepare and ship marketing materials for all meetings and courses

Event Planning

• Assist with fundraising and development efforts to include exhibit sales and sponsorship fulfillment for the annual meeting and regional courses

• Track corporate support for the annual meeting and regional courses

• Assist with the planning of two on-site educational course each year to include registration, speaker travel coordination, and logistical support to the Education Department

Operations

• Assist with financial procedures (invoice processing, revenue tracking, processing payments)

• Assist with light office management duties

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other relevant field required

• Customer service focus and experience working with volunteers and/or customers

• Experience and/or comfort level with fundraising and development

• Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity and/or interest in event planning and database management

• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, and reprioritize as necessary

• Able to thrive in a small staff, team environment
