Job Descriptions/Requirements:
The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the front desk concierge and the management office to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. The candidate will have a sincere interest in the welfare of the residential community and the building staff.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Patrolling randomly both buildings and outside areas; checking doors for signs of un-authorized entry
- Monitoring access to the building entrance and monitoring vehicles outside the main entrance
- Checking all interior and exterior lights
- Checking all laundry rooms and trash rooms
- Checking the outdoor pool area at least every hour
- Responding to emergency situations as they arise
- Accurately reporting all suspicious incidents and safety issues to the Association's President and department supervisor
- Producing written reports when necessary
- Monitoring security cameras when needed
- Liaising with the emergency services, police, ambulance and fire service to resolve issues
- Occasionally covering the front desk
- Identifying persons entering and exiting the building
- Working directly with the public to enforce laws and regulations of the association (noise complaint, move violation, trash violation, trespassing etc.).
- Paying special attention to the illegal disposal of the bulk trash and reporting the violators to the office.
- Settling verbal disputes in public areas in a professional and calm manner
- Developing plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish their work schedule
- Delivering notices, letters and posting flyers when needed
- Light cleaning of spills and small trash when the cleaning crew is off duty
- replacing light bulbs
- Other basic maintenance duties
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
-Minimum requirement: High School Diploma
-Excellent communications skills
-Fluency in English required but ability to speak a second language a plus
-Positive and professional work attitude
-Friendly, responsible, personable, service-oriented attitude
-Must have the ability to multi-task, be detailed-oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with residents, guests and vendors
