ESTIMATOR NEEDED ! Growing, busy Auto Body Shop has an opening for an Experienced Estimator.

Estimator must have strong customer service skills and great insurance company relationships. Must have knowledge of State Farm and Nationwide DRP programs. Take your career to the next level by joining our high volume body shop.

Responsibilities include and not limited to:

An Estimator Repair Collision Center Specialist is responsible for assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate repair estimates in a collision repair environment. Here’s a detailed breakdown of their key responsibilities:

1. Damage Assessment

Inspect vehicles to identify all damage caused by collisions.

Use diagnostic tools and visual inspections to evaluate repair needs.

2. Estimate Preparation

Prepare detailed and accurate repair cost estimates using specialized software (e.g., CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex).

Include labor, parts, and paint costs in the estimate.

3. Customer Communication

Explain the repair process, estimated costs, and timelines to customers.

Provide guidance on insurance claim processes and ensure customers understand their coverage.

4. Insurance Liaison

Collaborate with insurance adjusters to ensure claim approvals and resolve discrepancies.

Submit documentation and images to support estimates and claims.

5. Repair Coordination

Work closely with technicians to confirm the scope of repairs and ensure estimates align with actual work.

Update repair estimates if additional damage is discovered during repairs.

6. Quality Assurance

Verify completed repairs meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Perform post-repair inspections to ensure all work is completed as agreed.

7. Record Keeping

Maintain accurate records of estimates, repair costs, and customer interactions.

8. Cost Control

Ensure estimates are cost-effective and align with industry standards.

Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality.

9. Industry Compliance

Stay updated on industry regulations, repair techniques, and safety standards.

10. Customer Service

Provide excellent service to foster trust and customer satisfaction.

This role requires strong analytical, communication, and technical skills, as well as knowledge of repair processes and estimating software.

Negotiating and Communicate in a positive way with employees, customers, Insurance partners and vendors

Have the ability to read and analyze CCC management reports to meet goals and business projections

Write accurate DRP insurance estimates in CCC

Complete Billing & Ordering Parts

Oversee and direct techs daily production and work flow

Prior experience as a body shop estimator with knowledge in all phases of auto body repair. Applicant must have professional appearance, self starter and leadership skills. Must be familiar with various direct repair guidelines

The ability to maintain excellent customer service (CSI) and employee relations.
