Job Description
The Bicycle Mechanic position is the heartbeat of the bike share system. They are responsible for the maintenance and repair of bicycles at a quick pace to ensure they are quickly returned to the system. While efficient, quick work is key, it is important that repairs are also fully compliant and thorough to increase the lifespan and safety of the bike.
Daily Responsibilities
Conduct repairs ranging from tightening brakes to more advanced electrical issues
Conduct preventative maintenance on every bike on the street once a month
Perform repairs in a timely, efficient, and manufacturer compliant manner
Provide quality control for bikes repaired by fellow mechanics
Clean the components and exterior of the bikes
Keeping the storage/warehouse clean and organized
Accurate record keeping of Bike Work Orders
Job Qualifications
Mechanical knowledge and experience with bicycles
Ability to lift 60lb electric bicycles
Electrical knowledge preferred
Quality control analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
Ability to drive a pickup truck/cargo van
