Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in SPARKS, Maryland. This role will be pivotal in the financial operations of our CPA firm. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing various tasks including processing cash receipts, handling account reconciliations, and overseeing billing functions. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage the entire process of accounts receivable Perform account reconciliations meticulously Accurately record journal entries as required Handle bank account reconciliations in an organized and timely manner Ensure accurate and timely processing of cash receipts Oversee and manage the billing process efficiently Exhibit proficiency in using Accounts Receivable (AR) tools Perform cash applications and cash posting as needed Handle daily cash receipts and ensure they are recorded accurately. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a CPA firm or similar industry Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures Demonstrated experience with billing functions Strong skills in Account Reconciliation and Bank Account Reconciliation Knowledge of Cash Applications and Cash Posting procedures Experience in handling Daily Cash Receipts Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries as per company policies Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make well-judged decisions Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) would be an advantage.
