This position is also responsible for situation and intelligence briefing products for Disaster Relief Operations. The position supports the management of the Situation Awareness and Decision Support (SADS) cadre and the development of programmatic documentation and guidance.Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
1.Serve as Deputy NAD/SADS able to act in the role of NAD/SADS when needed.
2.Responsible for developing situation and intelligence briefings and briefing products.
3.Develop, implement, and facilitate processes for supporting national cadre of SADS volunteers
4.Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with all NADs, NICT, Divisions, Humanitarian Services (HS) IT and HS Business Systems Integration (BSI).
5.Serve as a consultant to Operations and Logistics(O&L) and Disaster Response Operations (DROs) for the situation awareness and decision support products, guidance and documentation.
6.Represent O&L as a technical stakeholder for the development and refinement of systems.
7.Represent SADS stakeholder interests in cross functional meetings and projects internal to DCS, enterprise and with external partners.
8.Develop, manage and implement documentation and guidance for SADS programs and activities.
9.Manage and lead assigned SADS related projects.
10.Deploy to DROs in an AD and above level GAP as needed.
The salary range for this position is : $120,880 - $157,144This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards in leadership and disaster response. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in of one or more business intelligence and visualization products (tableau, power bi, arcgis). Ability to work cross-platform with multiple technologies. Experience leading and managing volunteers. Experience developing tools for data informed decision making. Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred: Understanding of ETL and automation processes. Knowledge of disaster assessment and situation awareness as part of disaster response operations. Experience leading and managing in a matrixed environment. Knowledge of change management principles. Crisis decision making and leadership.
Travel: Travel is required.
Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined.
