Description Duration: 6-Month Contract-To-HirePay Range: $35-42/hr. during contract / $75-85k/yr. upon conversion to permanentLocation: Towson, MD – 100% onsite during the contract, 50% remote/onsite upon conversion to permanentResponsibilities:
Own network integration and connectivity for your assigned branch, ensuring smooth operations that contribute to the success of all locations.
Analyze pre-configured network equipment, configure it for optimal performance, and troubleshoot any issues, maintaining branch-specific reliability and contributing to national network consistency.
Collaborate with local technicians and ISPs to establish reliable internet connections, directly impacting the workflow and experience of employees across the country.
Proactively monitor network performance within your branch to identify potential problems before they ripple across the network, safeguarding national network efficiency.
Document configurations and procedures for future reference and to share best practices nationally, fostering knowledge transfer and network-wide consistency.
Provide technical support and guidance to branch personnel, contributing to a positive technology experience for employees in all locations.
Stay current with networking technologies and best practices, ensuring your expertise benefits your branch and drives the ongoing advancement of the national network.
Requirements
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in network technician or administrator roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of network operations and maintenance.
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls, including pre-configured devices.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), ensuring confident navigation of complex network configurations.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, allowing you to effectively diagnose and resolve network issues with minimal downtime.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, fostering successful interactions with both local colleagues and national teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to the demands of your specific branch while contributing to the broader national network goals.
Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic, ensuring the consistent accuracy and effectiveness of your work in branch and national network contexts.
Bachelor's degree in any field (IT preferred, not required).
