Our receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome patients and greet people who visit the center.To be successful as a receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.Ultimately, a receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure patients are welcomed positively and to execute all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.Hours:8:00 am - 8:00 pm (3 scheduled days a week and rotating weekends)Responsibilities:Check patients in using our EMR system (Athena)
Aid patience with registration process when needed
Insurance verification
Collect patient co-pays and balances
Ensure lobby is presentable at all times
Provide information and assistance as needed to patients and your team
Maintain a sanitary and organized workspace
QualificationsPrior experience in urgent care or other medical specialty is preferred but not essential.
Positive attitude
Excellent computer skills
Candidate must be able to take initiative
Experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service and patient care focused
High school degree or equivalent
Clinical experience is also highly valued, and individual could have a dual clinical and administrative role
