Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is hiring an experienced, analytical, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their Corporate Office in Somerville, MA.
Reporting to the Director of Credit & Collections the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the timely collection of receivables for their US and Canada customers.

This is a hybrid role and is based in our Somerville, MA corporate office.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Accurately and effectively collect outstanding balances from customers and post customer receivables and credits to the general ledger while maintaining detailed account records that allow for in-depth analysis of customer activity.
-Conduct credit reviews and analysis of current and new vendors.
-Research discrepancies and eliminate obstacles to collecting past due balances.
-Assist in month end closing, reconciliation of accounts receivable, prepare schedules, sales, and accounts receivable reconciliation.
-Maintain the necessary data to accurately bill and remit sales tax to all tax authorities on a timely basis, as well as ensure that all tax exemption certificates are current.
-Professionally communicate with customers and with all departments to effectively resolve credit and collection issues.
-Assist in the reporting of credit and collection metrics and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Credit and Collections.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
-Proficiency in professional phone communication and negotiation.
-Strong MS Excel skills.
-Familiarity with Oracle ERP is a plus (though not required).
-Excellent reporting and analytical abilities.
-Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow effectively.
-Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines.
-Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
-Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
