Role:
15-30 hours/week.
At YourQBGuru the role of the bookkeeper is to not only enter, code, and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks, but also to allocate your time and organize your workload so that your time resource is used consistently throughout the month. Ownership is required.
Job Duties:
Create, manage, and review your client calendar.
Complete client bookkeeping tasks such as tracking accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
Communicate with clients in a timely manner on any open questions.
Track and follow-up on open items.
Escalate any open items within 10 business days.
Finalize the month.
Prepare reports.
Update the client list with the latest bookkeeping task and date.
Balance daily workload with long-term projects.
Requirements:
Associate degree in accounting or a similar field or 2 years of bookkeeping experience. Training will be offered if the fit is right.
Communicate in English, both written and spoken.
Software competency with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Excel, as well as QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
Task management skills, such as prioritizing and completing in a timely manner.
Capable of taking care of each client from beginning to end, leaving no open questions or loose ends.
Conditions:
This is a job that requires hours in front of the computer, sitting at a desk, under fluorescent lights.
