Hours: Flexible, 8–20 hours/week to start, mostly on-site
Type: Part-time contract, short-term project with possible ongoing work Small but busy pet sitting & dog walking company looking for an organized, detail-oriented bookkeeper to come on-site and get us 100% caught up for taxes.
What you’ll be doing:
Sort and organize 2022–2025 receipts, bank statements.
Download, Categorize Income & Expenses (Schedule C), Reconcile all transactions from multiple bank accounts into odt spreadsheets.
Use pivot tables to create P&L, Balance Sheet, for years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and a Budget, and cash flow statement for 2025.
You’re probably a great fit if:
You’ve done Schedule C bookkeeping for other small service businesses (pet sitting, cleaning, landscaping, contractors, etc.)
You’re comfortable digging through shoeboxes of receipts, and digitizing them.
You can work on-site at our home office in Marlborough a few days a week (we have cats and dogs here – must be pet-friendly!)
You’re available to start within the next 1–3 weeks
Libre Office Calc experience a plus but not mandatory.
This is a 1099 contractor position. Pay is $25–$35 per hour based on speed and prior similar experience. Project will probably take 100–200 hours total; possibility of ongoing monthly bookkeeping after cleanup if we work well together.
