We are a boutique, biotech consulting company seeking a payroll accountant for about 15 -20hrs/wk of support, with one day/week onsite in our Waltham office required. Looking for an immediate start.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
- Calculate and process tax withholdings, deductions, and contributions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions
- Reconcile payroll with timesheet system (for FTEs and hourly contractors)
- Manage benefits (401k/health insurance contributions, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Experience utilizing ADP
- Experience working with hourly (w2, 1099, corp-to-corp) contractors and time sheet/card systems required, specific experience in the contract staffing space preferred
- Customer Service-oriented: There will be times where you must interact with contractors to troubleshoot/reconcile payment issues
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
