Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in supporting client engagements by managing day-to-day accounting functions, developing financial models, and providing controllership-level oversight. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with clients, thrives in a consulting environment, and can adapt to the unique needs of diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting Support
Oversee and review monthly close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Ensure accounting records are accurate, GAAP-compliant, and aligned with client-specific reporting needs.
Manage AP, AR, payroll, and cash flow reporting as needed.
Financial Modeling & Analysis
Build and maintain financial models to support client decision-making, including forecasts, budgets, and acquisition-related analyses (e.g., Transaction Analysis of Earnings).
Provide variance analysis and performance insights to identify risks and opportunities for clients.
Controllership & Advisory Duties
Act as an outsourced controller for client businesses, overseeing financial operations and improving processes.
Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.
Partner with CFOs, CEOs, and investors to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
Collaboration & Client Service
Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for client accounting and financial questions.
Collaborate with fractional CFOs, consultants, and client teams to deliver high-quality work.
Prepare materials and present findings in client meetings.
Qualifications
Fluent in English
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
4–7 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting, controllership, or consulting background strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct strongly desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
