Waldorf School at Moraine Farm seeks a full-time Toddler Lead Teacher (18 months - 3 years old) for the 2024-2025 school year to join our school’s first Toddler Room. Waldorf School at Moraine Farm seeks a highly motivated Toddler Lead Teacher who will be responsible for providing a nurturing, productive learning environment in keeping with the mission and vision of the school.

The Ideal Candidate:

Excels at preparing the toddler environment, taking responsibility for creating and maintaining a nurturing, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for toddlers

Has a background in early education and enjoys working with toddler-aged students 18 months to 3 years old

Is able to ensure the physical and emotional safety and well-being of the students

Is a team player who is willing to work with peers

Is an excellent communicator, interacting with children, families, and coworkers in a warm, compassionate, empathetic, and confident manner

Is able to model integrity, curiosity, and respect

The position requires attendance at occasional evening school events, weekly after-school faculty meetings

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or beyond in a related field

Experience and passion in Early Childhood Education, specifically toddlers

A background in Waldorf Education, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, nature-based programs, or other quality Early Childhood programs with a willingness to explore best practices in all philosophies

EEC certification for Lead Toddler Teacher

Willingness to undertake professional development

Ability to lift 50 pounds

This is a 12-month position with 4 weeks paid vacation per year.

Monday through Friday, Hours 10 am - 5:30 pm

Our school, now in its 38th year, is a full member of AWSNA. We have approximately 90 children enrolled in Toddler through Grade 5. Elementary children participate in several subject classes, including Games and Movement, Music (Strings and Orchestra), Handwork, and Spanish. Our Early Childhood program includes Kindergarten, Nursery, Toddler, and Parent/Caregiver-Child classes. Our faculty is a diverse, multi-generational group. We are a mix of both new and experienced teachers. We are committed to faculty support and development and provide ongoing mentoring and regular evaluation. We enjoy strong collaborative relationships among our Faculty, Parents, and Board of Trustees.
