Plowshares is seeking substitutes for our Preschool Lab School Program at Newton North High School. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves engaging with toddler and/or preschool-aged children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through various educational activities.
Responsibilities include:
-Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
-Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.
-Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good conduct among students.
-Provide individualized care and attention to each child, ensuring their welfare and developmental needs are met.
Candidate Requirements:
-A minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
-Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare.
-Knowledge in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
-Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
-A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through educational play.
